“Directing teenage actors is like juggling jars of nitro-glycerin: exhilarating and dangerous.” My history teacher said the best people can find balance. I'm not a balance person. But it's taken a semester at a brand new school environment, to learn just how hard school can be. And I can see why people struggle, and why people just leave. To relate it to my technology interests, to those who say technology is bad for students, or maybe the poison of our youth, I think you may have confirmation bias. I'll include a photo of my note taking. I had to screenshot that off my Twitter because instead Twitter just saves my profile to my laptop and a weird photo of an Asian dude I don't recognize. It's so odd to step foot back into old territory.
That kind of place where you once lived your happiest moments wrapped in the smell of coffee beans and all you could hear was laughter. To step back in that territory with a new body and realize the places you once sat are taken by new people making their own memories. The ones who you used to speak with pass you by without looking. They even wear new faces you no longer recognize. To be in old territory is like stepping into unfamiliar grounds. A place where the scene kept changing long after you were gone. And for once, I just sat and enjoyed the fact I am now no longer a mark on the chairs and the people no longer know my name. They say every 7 years your body has completely shed, so whoever touched you 7 years ago have never touched your current body. I think this applies to my new found comfort in no longer being a known face in a once known place. That is all. My name is Alex. I've tried this blogging thing a million times, but here I go at it again.
I really have no real purpose for this site except to post whatever I feel is good enough for the world to see. I love to write, but most stays hidden. Rose Covered Beauty? What does this stand for Alex? Its deeper meaning! Well, it doesn't have one. I thought it sounded cool. I imagine a beautiful girl covered in thorn filled roses. But that's just me. If you could follow my blog that'd be really rad. You'd be one righteous dude. I had Ferris Bueller on my mind when I wrote that, can you tell? Well, enjoy my blog and it's entirety. In my psych class some believe the whole is more important than the individual parts. So if my posts suck, at least the layout will always be pretty. Until next time, my name is Alex and this is my blog. |
